A long-time Kitsilano "native" and having grown up with an artistic mother, Jean always enjoyed drawing, painting and generally creating! After a hiatus of several years (life), Jean took up painting more seriously about 10 years ago, wokring under the tutilege of the renowned artist, Joseph Wong, who inspired her to explore and discover the intrigue of brilliant colours, texture and movement.
While poppies have always been a specialty (after all, they are RED!), Jean is passionate about painting scenery (mostly reflecting her travels), her roots (the great Canadian prairies) and of course, flowers! Jean loves the city of Vancouver, and enjoys painting local scenes and is eager to do a series of "Bridges of Vancouver".
Always searching for what is beyond, and to stretch and grow, Jean has been taking classes at Emily Carr and is looking forward to new adventures in art.Jean can be contacted about her art at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone at 604-739-0414.
